




Paris, July 1942. Edmond Batignole, a humble grocer, tries to keep his head down under Nazi occupation, swept along by fear and the influence of others. When Simon, a young Jewish boy whose family was deported, turns up at his door, Edmond is forced to confront his own complicity. As he shelters Simon and later helps him and his cousins escape, Edmond begins a quiet journey of redemption, risking everything to reclaim his humanity.
